New Year

When I think about last year and how I would write about it... I come up blank! Life is still the same. Children growing up way too fast, Still too many unfinished projects and not enough time to do anything. I am so thankful for my family and where I live and what I do have. I am glad that I have a wonderful husband and 5 wonderful kids. I am thankful that I have the opportunity to always try to be a better person and to make our family better as well. I hope everyone has a great new year!

The Daily Routine

6 o hellish in the morning Kendall’s alarm goes off. I blink sleepily around and then crash back into the wonderful dreamland I was so rudely interrupted from. Not that I am lazy but from the fact that I was woke up at 2 a.m. by my CAT that wanted outside which resulted in my DOG slipping out with her which later results in another climb out of bed a half hour later to let the DOG back in the house. No sooner do I relax my body than one of two things will happen. A: Mylee will wake up crying that she has to go to the bathroom or B: Kayden is standing right by my head breathing in my face and making a weird noise to wake me up…after which he climbs over me and proceeds to take up whatever small space is left from KENDALL and the DOG. Usually option B happens.

Kendall will wake me up once again at 7 o’hellish in the morning with a quick shove off the bed to make sure that I get up and get going. I mean after all… He got a full night sleep didn’t he? I drag myself from bed and proceed to do all that is necessary to make myself presentable for work. Then off to wake up little RUGRATS and make them presentable to go to daycare. After shoving several pop-tarts and sugary cereal down their throats we are out the door and on our way. My DOG usually follows us to daycare where I proceed to yell and wave my hands at her (looking like a complete fool) in a useless attempt to make her go home. After a few almost adult minutes talking to another adult I HUG and KISS those cute RUGRAT faces and head off to my dreaded job. The DOG attempts to follow but I speed away leaving her in the dust.

I will then go and manage a payday loan store. From 9am to 6pm I will sit in this office for 9 HOURS. On a REALLY good day I will see about 10 people. On a NORMAL day I will see about 3 and some days I see NO ONE. I feel like my brain and bones are turning to mush from the inactivity. The job itself is quite easy and not too much of a challenge. The people (when I do see them) are quite interesting and get slightly freaked out by my incessant chatter and insane laughter… after all I have sat here for 9 hours ALONE!

I drag myself home, the inactivity of the day having made me feel like I am was the last survivor of a nuclear bomb, thankful that Kendall was off of work before me and has made dinner. 6pm and a house destroyed, sink full of dinner dishes and children to bathe. There are clothes to be washed and dried, chickens to be fed and watered. At 9pm I am forcing my children to bed and finishing up the cleaning. 9:30 rolls around and I am staring blankly at the TV wondering where my day went. I do my nightly round as Kendall finishes watching his TV show and then I fall asleep…Till 2 am.

So why do I suck at updating? I dont even update FACEBOOK! I just hang out in the shadows...enjoying the excitment of other peoples lives and thinking that I can;t top that and make an enjoyable post!!! NEED MOTIVATION. I am off for chocolate...maybe that will help.

So I had a life change on Jan 13th, 2011. I lost my job. I cant say much about it except for I will say this. I could do nothing to change what happened. I could not save my job for I was not given the chance to. My position was no longer needed in that company and they laid me off. I never had a bad work review. I never had problems with absences. I did everything I was supposed to and more. Obviously it was not enough.

So now I am a stay at home mom till I can figure out what to do. I feel kind of trapped right now not sure where to turn. Its almost like a clean slate except my bills tell me that I still need to bring in some money... Sigh.. why couldn't those have been laid off to? :0)

My dad is pushing me to go to school, that I have been wasting my life (gee dont tell me how you really feel!) and that this is all for the best. (Ummm dad are you plannin on paying my bills? Oh your not? Dang it!)

So (I am saying So again) I thought that if I put this out into the universe and I just let it go that somehow the bitterness, the fear, the betrayal and the depression will go to and I can see a clear path to what I need to do.

Do I have more to say about what happened? Sure I do. BUT. I know that it will not change what happened. I know that in time I will get over it. Years and Years and YEARS from now I might even think about forgiving. Plus Kendall still works there and I need to support him in supporting our family. I do not want to ruin what job standing he has there.

I am sincerely grateful for the wonderful people in my life that have supported me and tried to help me see that elusive silver lining that I am currently blinded to. I am grateful to the few friends that I have made that called me and texted me and sent me comfort.

Thank you and I will be fine. To my old job - you only got one day of complete ruin out of me. To myself - they didnt even deserve that.

So. It. Is. Settled.

On to a new life, one that I hope where I never REPEAT that experience again.

Why I am Jealous of my MIL

This was a christmas gift from my mother in law. She painted it. I hate her. No. I really don't hate her... I AM JUST MAJOR JEALOUS!! I have approximately 15-16 years before my kids all move away and I can actually do the things I want to do! This has got to be one of my favorite presents and I am so thankful that she was willing to part with it so that I can enjoy it on my wall. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I LOVE YA!! (ignore what I said earlier...I want more paintings!)

We are finally back to normal. It was a sad day at our house. The littlest ones kept asking "WHY?!?"

I am glad though. Now I can move on to all the home remodeling projects I have been anxious to get to! I want to repaint the whole living room (the whole house for that matter) and with taxes we are hoping to get some nicer kid friendly furniture along with a FLAT SCREEN TV! Yes we have dreams... BIG BIG DREAMS!

Last year was the year of the yard. This is going to be the year of the house!

Course this isnt really a big deal...except for the fact that I have carpal tunnel and tendonitis therefore if I actually do this all the time... I sleep sitting up in braces with a bottle of Advil by my bed.....

Honestly though.... I think its worth it and I wish I had time to do more! Hope you like my Cross Stitch Snowman Ornament.... and since I finished it and I want time to enjoy it....My tree will be up for AT LEAST another 2 weeks!

Wow! 1st Day of the New Year! How AWESOME is that?

Alot of people have been talking about their "New Years Resolutions" Now let me start out by saying... I don't do those. EVER. Seriously. EVER.

I think that my ummmm... commitment issues have something to do with this. I prefer to actually do what I say I am going to and I really really dont like to just say it cuz everyone else is.

Like the Whole WEIGHT thing.. REALLY?! I have been plump since I was 12. Soooo me and my weight... We is FRIENDS! Best Buds, BFF's etc, No change planned for the future!

I prefer to look at my life everyday and make changes that way. I don't wait for the New Year. So to anyone who still reads this blog.... Don't expect any changes... I still suck at blogging, and facebook, and texting, and my temper......Blah Blah Blah. I will get to those eventually!

Fingers crossed but I HOPE EVERYONE IS GOING TO RESOLVE TO BE NOT LIKE ME!

I love the oblivious family. I took about 5 pictures of them and they NEVER noticed!! LOL. Oh the fun of it all.

The path we dug to the chicken coop... We have to do this every time it snows. So far we have dug it about 4 times! :0)

I know that there is a time and place for all holidays! I love Thanksgiving also and I get to make all the desserts and rolls this year!! After drinking approx 28 oz of DELICIOUS COFFEE....I decided to move all the furniture out of the soon to be babies room, pull out the carpet, pad, tack strip n staples and then clean the house within an inch of its life all before 9 am. I even bathed the littlest ones and fixed the babies hair! Phew...! I am tired! Here are some picks of my awesomeness...

As I sit here pondering how to spend my weekend... I realize I already had planned it!! :0)

Kendall, Tim and Sariah are currently painting 2 rooms today. We finally finished getting the room upstairs ready for paint. Everything has been mudded, taped, textured and spackled to perfection. Well minus the little hole in the wall from me attempting to set a nail...but I think Sariah got that covered up for me! (note: Sharee is not allowed to handle a hammer)

Tim has gone with a Camoflauge theme (I blame his father...both of them) and is going with a very becoming color called Dune. One wall will be painted in camoflauge (to be done by yours truly.) Because of how his room is situated the doorway we had built requires a custome door.....(WHAT?!?!? I dont have the money for a CUSTOM DOOR...hmmm I can make one? Really?) So I made a really cool door out of Camo fabric using the no sew bond stuff and a tension rod...! Ta da!... Oh...it doesnt fit quite right... theres a gap...Oh well hes a boy he doesnt care... Right Tim?

Sariah has been doing some soul searching lately and has decided that NEON is her thing. Neon shirts, socks, undergarments, pillows etc...have made their way into our home. So why not paint the walls to match? Neon Green will be lighting up her room spotted with Neon Pink and Purple dots... BIG pink and purple DOTS...(why me?) She has decided that instead of having a night light (those are for BABIES don't ya know?) that her cieling will be adorned with glow in the dark stars and planets so that she can dream endless dreams by falling aleep looking up into the endless universe. Ahhhhh....

The M & M twins get a bigger room which luckily for them comes with a bigger t.v. and also the addition of... (wait for it)............THEIR OWN BEDS!!! No more sleeping on a queen mattress on the floor...cuddled together....fighting over covers...Nope! They will each have their own stuff to mess up! Yeah!!!

As for Kayden well he has had his room set up for a while now and refuses to move. "Mom I have xbox n Halo... I am not going anywhere..!" Geez okay! (He is took freakin cute! Those eyes!! Can't resist....tooo cute...!)

The house is getting its fall makeover on the outside. For some peculiar reason I only decorate the outside of the house for fall and halloween and only the inside for christmas. I think it has something to do with the weather and I try to stay outside as long as possible! Once the snow hits I am like a bear and I hibernate!

I will post some pics (hopefully not side tracked so much that I forget!) Have a greet weekend everyone!

So I know that you know that I never have time for anything...Example: You will probably be shocked to learn of all the things I have done(starting friday of the labor day weekend)and no these things are not in order... hey I am not about to start making sense this late in life!

1. Made 2 pecan pies
2. Helped my sister make a suprise entrance at my father's 50th suprise birthday party - which in turn suprised my mom cuz no one knew they were coming but me and they stayed at MY HOUSE on friday to suprise everyone on SATURDAY at the park at 1:30pm.... 1:30 PM!!!
3. Cleaned my house top to bottom approx 107 times.
4. Made 2 big family dinners that fed approx 98 people....Okay fine...45 people.(wink wink)
5. Got one whole night to ourselves - NO CHILDREN - because my mother is crazy and had a GRANDCHILD SLEEP OVER!!! (Wahooo!)
6. Took tons of pictures
7. Mowed my chicken coop
8. Picked and Ate all my corn from my garden and am now drying my corn stalks
9. Started drawing up plans for our yard halloween set up
10. Made a corn husk wreath (instructions at http://chickensintheroad.com/blog/2009/10/14/how-to-make-a-corn-husk-wreath/ )
11. Got a huge blister from the corn husk wreath
12. Started two projects of cross stitch
13. Thought about selling my children
14. Cleaned my house again for the 108th time. :0)

I know there is more but after working that hard and having to deal with my family for 3 WHOLE DAYS... can you blame my poor little head for not being able to handle the torture therefore forgetting the most excruciating parts? :0)

Hope Everyone is enjoying our fall weather, I know that I am!!! Off to get dinner ready for tomorrow and look at how much money I can get selling my kids... I mean look for halloween decorations.... Muuaaaahhhhh!!!

Falling for Fall

For some reason it has felt like we are going to skip august and jump head first right into september! Maybe its just because I love the smell of fall, the excitment of the upcoming holidays (Halloween especially) or just the change of my children starting school.

I love fall! I love eating fresh veggies from our garden (which is really struggling right now) checking our pumpkins to see how BIG they are getting, decorating my house and making crockpot dinners with rolls rising on the stove... Hmmm Boy! Definetly getting excited.

Our weather has not helped either! Its been acting funny lately by showering us with thunderstorms, rain and lots of wind and clouds which is bringing our temperature down enough that I am ready for my hoodie! Which is one of my favorite clothing items to wear during the fall. Hides all my lovely rolls... I mean curves. :0)

So with fall looming around the corner and now that my house is completely dejunked, I am ready to organize, clean, redecorate, and finish up projects. Plus I finally will be posting instructions of my lady bug bowling balls along with photos!

A Brief Interuption...

Hello to All...this is just a quick post. I have tons planned for the next couple weeks and MY KIDS FLY HOME IN 2 DAYS!!!! (breathing/calming down!) Saturday we get to drive all our butts to the airport so that I can SQUEEZE AND HUG AND SMOOCH my Tim and Sissy again!!!! (breathing/calming down!) He posts a challenge for every month and you can draw that challenge and submit it and hey if your lucky you get a prize! This month was birds and I submitted my prisma color drawing.

Then there is Maren Scott - She is actually a local artist in logan. I found her by reading the Herald Journal. She does foster care for pets and her art work is amazing. I hope I get the chance to meet her!

James Parker is the artist that runs the Windows to the Words blog and I find him to be hilarious! He makes me smile. Reminds me of my dad.

For kendalls bday I was able to get 5 tickets to the Jazz game because I have the most awesomest boss ever! We got to take my bro Jake and kendalls parents! We had a blast. Stopped at olive garden on the way and then the Jazz killed the Rockets in 3 point shooters all night! It was the bomb! I love being able to go do things like that for Kendall. I love that man! Granted he has his faults but hey he puts up with ME! Enough said there! I would post more but every time I do pictures I have a hard time getting words inbetween the pictures and getting the layout to work. So goodbye for now!

We have not been up to too much around here. Tim celebrated his birthday on saturday. He is 12 now! He is growing up and loves to brag about how tall he is getting.

This is something that he drew in his art class! Not bad for a Sanchez!!

I am currently taking an art class at the Junior High in Logan once a week. This is the photo I used for my homework.

This is the final product. It was done in charcoal. I don't think it turned out to bad. I made her eyes a bit too big but all in all I really like it. :0)

The Change?

Not that kind of CHANGE! Gosh! The New Year kind of change!
Change #1 - We are switching cell phone companies. Going from Verizon to Sprint. Why? Because my work gets a goverment price deal and we can save over $20 a month and get double what we have now so I consider this a GOOD CHANGE!
Change #2 - We are planning a FAMILY Vacation!!! Finally! I swear I have put this off forever. It was always - Oh we have to wait till I am not PREGNANT! Then it was we need kayden to get older or we need the twins to get older....NOW we consider them old and we can all go! We are planning a visit to Whibdey Islands and surrounding areas in Washington! Hopefully we will be gone about a for about 8 days! All at once...Holy Cow! Everyone is so excited. I partly grew up on Whibdey Islands while my dad was in the military and my oldest two grew up in Silverdale from the ages of 3-6! I defintely want to take a side trip to Forks....Maybe get a little vampire action in! So another GOOD CHANGE!
Change #3 - Ugh this one is hard! So I want to lose weight. Typical New Years resolution. I want to for our trip this summer and mostly to start being healthy. None of this skinny model crap...just healthy. So I am starting to calorie count, do smaller portions and exercise....So a GOOD CHANGE but I really hate the startup, the hunger pangs and the sore muscles...but its a good change Sharee! So just shut up and deal!
Change #4 - Finishing up Projects! I really want to say " WE are DONE with our PROJECTS!!" so the goals are : Finish spare bedroom upstairs, complete trim and paint, and complete clean and organize the REALLY SCARY basement - so I can actually go down there! :0) GOOD CHANGE!
Change #5 - We are turning off our TV, internet, selling our game systems and learning to survive without...! HA HA Just teasing.. I didn't have a #5 figured out so I put one to see if you were still reading!
All in all we are starting this year off being better together! I love life and how amazing it really is! Now off to count them damn calories and nag on kendall to keep working! Love to All!

Our Christmas Letter

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Another year has rushed by and I find myself thinking…Didn’t I just write this!? As I continue to gracefully get older, I find myself full of the charm and wisdom that comes with age (my dad prefers to call it BS) and since I have so much of it, I would like to pass some “wisdom” on to you.

If you ever have 2 yr old twins named Mylee & Maddie: never leave them alone for a second. Never let them feed themselves. Throw away all crayons, markers and pens with the realization you can never have them in your house again. Don’t tell anyone about them or you won’t have any babysitters. If you want your pets to live give them to someone else. If they ever become extremely quiet, you know that either a: you just lost something very important or b: that you are going to have to remodel a room. Any pictures taken will be of them destroying something, running away, fighting or so up close all you see is a nostril. You will need to throw away the baby monitor or you’ll never get a good night sleep, and never let them fall asleep on you, for their deceptively angelic appearance will deceive you, not allowing you to put them into bed but hold them in your arms until either your butt falls asleep or you do.

If you ever have a 3 yr old named Kayden: never let Papa teach him how to play Halo, Big Game Hunter, Wii Sports or any other game system cuz you will never see him again, and if he happens to grace you with his presence expect a horrible odor to follow along with a tantrum cuz he had to pause his shooting. Never let him watch movies to fall asleep cuz he won’t and then he will climb in bed with you at 2am in the morning and not want to get up the next day. He will eat sparingly throughout the day and be starving at midnight. He will not want to live with you but instead will do his best to runaway to Nana’s or NaeNae’s house. If you get the chance to tickle him, DON’T for his laughter will make you laugh, and you will laugh so much you will wet yourself.

If you ever have a 10 yr old named Sariah: never let her go near your makeup cuz she will put it on, turn seventeen, then a horn will honk and she will run out the door to some guy named Tyrone on a Harley. Never let her cook for she will make pancakes out of flour, oil and eggs because she made the recipe up in her head and wants you to eat every bite. Never let her see you cry because then she will make fun of you for being a wuss. Never ever let her win an argument or remember something you forgot for then, in that instant, you will have become very old, you will never live it down and she will eye roll you to death. Always check her homework, if you don’t she will forge your name saying you did and still get bad grades anyways. Never let her do crafts, for she will want to do them all the time, will spend all of your money, make a mess and her wonderful creation will be the center piece of your fridge for years because it was super glued on.

If you ever have an 11 yr old named Tim: never let him talk you out of cutting his hair because in the next week it will have grown so long, thick and soft you have to use hedge clippers to cut it and by then he will have talked you out of cutting it, AGAIN. You will need to attach a bell to his neck so that you can hear him coming cuz he is as quiet as a ghost, and sometimes just as scary. Never let him watch t.v. for he will record every episode of Spongebob, Samuri Jack and Star Wars that he can. Never ask him to take out the garbage cuz you will end up following him out there to throw it in, the wuss! NEVER EVER let him near your fridge for he will experiment and create a concoction called Peanut Butter and Pickle sandwich, which will make you smell for days and people will avoid you. Don’t let any girls see or meet him, for if you do be prepared to get out the shotgun.

If you ever marry a man named Kendall: never let him watch sports for he will be addicted and you will lose the chance to watch Desperate Housewives, Super Nanny or any other awesome show. He will never put his clothes away but instead keep them next to the bed in case he falls out. Never argue construction with him and then try to get your dad to side with you cuz then you will have two people against you and if you ever question the construction process you will get stuck doing it yourself and reading the instructions upside down. Remember to make enough food for 12 people so that he will have enough to eat and then a snack a midnight. Never ever let him know how much you love him cuz he will just tell you that he loves you more.

We got ready just in time to get our pic taken and see everyone file it. We had forgotten our memory card for our camera so these are the only pics we have! Alpine had hired a hypnotist for the night and that was hilarious. Great food, Great entertainment and a Great Night!

Saturday we got up and put everything up and away into our shed to prepare for winter. Our yard is clean and pretty and all the things that we hold dear are now tucked away safely and will be ready for some hard use next year!

Sunday - since my mother didnt invite us up....! GOSH MOM!!! (just teasing!)

We decided to get ready for our chickens that my mom got us. Here is the last of the garbage to be cleaned up in the yard and now you can see the old foundation and its ready for a new building!!

She got kicked by a horse while being the wandering dog that she was. We love you and will miss you.

Dec 2008 to Oct 2009.

Okay... I think enough time has passed that I can finally talk a little more about it. Me and kendall have decided that we can never go on a date. I had to work till 5 on friday, Kendall had the day off to finish putting our shed up (which he did so our shed is complete) and had noticed that she was missing. She goes missing all the time. She will disappear for a few hours and then suddenly be under your feet so happy to see you. Well Kendall left to come pick me up. His parents had come over for the day to help with the babies and were still there cuz my parents had shown up to watch the kids while we went on a date and were chatting. They suddenly decided to look for Jazz, by the time they found her in the horse pasture kendall had picked me up and we were headed to olive garden. I answer the phone and what I hear is " Sharee you need to come home its kind of an emergency....Jazz is dead." Shock and silence followed while I attempted to absorb what my mom had said. Not my baby....Not my Jazz. Kids were hysterical. This was our first pet to ever pass away and no one knew how to deal with it. Not even me. So we turned around and made our way home. The kids had her in a box and were sobbing. We wrote on old blanket, told her we loved her, wrapped her and buried her in the back corner of our yard. Sariah had made a cute halloween craft - a black fence with a pumpkin on it - she decided that we should use that as our head stone... and we did. We are still struggling. We miss her tons. She was not your typical dog, she slept in our bed, rode shotgun anywhere we went, played and chased the babies, She was family, Our Family. She will be missed Dearly.

Alot of people remember every detail of their wedding day. Or wedding days as my case may be...but well we all know how bad my memory is! I remember moments...my heart beating so fast that I was afraid it would pop out of my chest, clutching my dads arm as I walked around the building, the wind gently blowing beautiful white flowers from the surrounding trees across my path as I made my way twards the man that I loved.... I remember laughter and feeling so light and happy....to recapture that every day well it can be a challenge...but there is always a small moment at some point when I look at him, a sneaky kiss in the corner or his hand closing around mine as we argue over who's show to watch on tv....I still get that light happy feeling....and I always utter a silent prayer that I will never let that slip away... She really is the best thing that has ever happend to me, and even though she won't believe me when I tell her that, it's the truth. She is the love of my life and I am so glad that I got her. I have an awesome lady that I work with named Melissa and her sister makes these spider pins that are supposed to go on your shirt. Well she gave me one and I kept squishing the little guy! So I decided that he would become my newest hair accessory! LOve IT!

Also kendall had to work late last night so I took the kids to Artic Circle and to my great suprise they had haunted the restuarant! It was so awesome. I didnt get pics of the front door way with the gargoyle or the dead zombie guy by the fountain drinks but THIS COOL BLOW UP DECORATION....kids loved it! Crawled all over it and slid thru it....Cant wait to take all the nieces and nephews there! Fun!!!

Hello to all. I decided its been way to long since you have been able to hear about my awesome, wonderful, crazy life. I know you have missed me. :)

We have been busy with school and decided that on Labor Day Weekend that instead of camping like all other idahoians that we would drag our 5 beautiful, well behaved wonderful children to Hoogle Zoo........... I did say well behaved right? :P I could have gone to boot camp and been less exhausted than after our trip to the zoo! The twins hated the stroller and as soon as they were let free....oh my goodness! Mylee ran there and then Madisen took off in the other direction! I so wished that I had leashes on them. (yes I know that they are available for kids.....) They didnt care about the animals, they wanted to eat anything that they could find on the ground, and to make matters slightly worse Tim and Sariah were fighting with each other! I was ready to ask the zoo to adopt them and have them be the main attraction. Kayden was my only good one until it was time to go and then he screamed cuz he didnt want to leave! I have already requested that kendall lock me up if I ever think about doing a trip like this again! We are going to give the twins more time to grow up and learn to listen before we do.

So along with our TRIP we have been doing more work on our home. We finally have the form ready so that we can poor our concrete pad and build our much needed shed. We also have been collecting scrap wood and lumber from construction sites so that we can attemp to make our house the HALLOWEEN HOUSE of the neighborhood!!!

Thats been a fun arguement with kendall! He wants it to be Slasher/Gory Blood n Guts and I want it to be a Disney version! LOL. I think we will meet in the middle on this. So everyone feel free to drive by our house and enjoy the spookiness! Stop by and say hi too!

School, Golfing and Bear Lake

Tim, Kendall and Kayden went golfing with Eric and his boys and had a great time. Kayden had a hold of the camera almost the whole time. He took some funny pictures. I always get a kick out

of his pictures.

Tim and Sariah started school last weds and have had a blast. Alot of people comment that their kids dread school - not mine. They love it and all the friends that come with it!

We also went to bear lake this weekend and got to spend a fun day with the family and cousins. My mom's blog has all the pics so check it out. :)

Okay so I finally gave up on photobucket. I keep trying to upload my pics and make some new slideshows and it doesnt work so this will be a quick update of some of my favorite photos from 4th of july and so on. Kayden took this pic of me.... :) And then here is me and kendall enjoying bear lake.

Kayden turned a BIG 3 years old on June 19th....then I turned the BIG 30 on June 20th! So i guess I wont ever be able to forget how old I am! LOL. The girls turned 2 on July 21st and then Tim and sariah came home on July 25th.

We also got into a 4 car wreck a week before tim and sariah came home. Not our fault and we were lucky to get a great rental car while my truck was being fixed!

We were very lucky to get to see all the berry side of the family right after Tim and sis got home. Sadly today we learned that Uncle Mike passed away last night of a heart attack. I am thankful to have gotten to see him again and to have some fun memories of him in my heart. Uncle Mike you are ONe of a KIND! We will miss you.

Maddie and Her Baby - She doesnt go anywhere without her! Also a pic of my new budding photographer. Kayden loves taking pictures and he took several of his shadow!! Can you say AWWW? Then there is mylee who somehow squeezer her bum into a toy dump truck.....I was lucky to get her out! And of course I posted a pick of my hubby stuffing his face.....this is the usual scene for me!! LOL

I have posted in many posts past that we have been cleaning up the junk left from the previous owners of our home. Here are some pics of the final results. BIG thanks to my dad and kendalls dad for all their efforts on saturday. You guys are awesome. Also a big shout out to Sean Hokanson! Thanks for helping us out and getting everything to look so great. Your a whiz on that Skidster. :)

I wish that I could say that I made tons of money doing this....but I dont. I still like it though. Its a love hate relationship. I wish I was better at it and I wish that I was faster. :) I did about 150 faces or arms that day. Sunday was pure hell - I was sore and cramped from the position I was stuck in. I started at about 10 am that morning - Kendall stood in my line for an hour just to get me a 1/2 hour lunch break which came at about 3:30. I then painted until about 6:30. Kendall stood there and told people that I was done painting and they still continued to try to get me too! I really wish that I had someone who could do it with me......like a certian blond barbie that lives in saint george :D

Its about time right? Things are good at our house. Time is not flying by fast enough for me. Tim and Sariah are at their dads in North Carolina until the 25th of July. He has been taking them fishing, crabbing and exploring! They are having fun and are heading to Universal Studios this Weekend. I guess they both also got their hair highlighted! I have not seen pictures yet but once I get them I will post. We have been just working on the house and trying not to go crazy from all the rain. We are having a garage sale this weekend at kendalls moms house in smithfield. We have so much to get rid of and probably more than i realize i have that is still somewhere in my house! So that will be my saturday morning. Kendall gets to stay home and be lazy with the kids. (if thats possible) We have a calander of things that we want to finish before the kids get home. I want to get tims room finished so that he can have his own space and not be stuck sharing a room. I want to finish the kids bathroom. I want to clean out my basement. I want to build a shed. I think I want to rethink my list! LOL. So we are just staying busy and doing our best to be happy till my kids get home! MISS YOU GUYS TONS!

This is mary ellen! A woman that i adore and love so much! she just got her hair cut for the first time in 30 years! One hot lady - so single gents beware!

Tim and sis are having a great time in north carolina. these are the few and far between pics i have gotten. I wont complain at least he thought to send them! I really appreciate it!

Josh also talked Tim / Monkey haired boy into cutting his hair! Me and tim argue constantly about his shaggy hair! He likes it long, I like it short sometimes he wins sometimes i win and it looks like josh won this round!

Need I Say More? We are sunburnt, exhausted, and sore muscled but.... it was worth it! Now to make it a fun haven for the kids! Play House, Swing Set, Slide, Sandbox..... We dream It and We build It! LOL

Also we tried a new recipe the other night and it was a hit.
Chicken Lasagna! Yum Yum.

Sharee's Version of Chicken Lasagna

24 oz Cottage Cheese
3 oz Cream Cheese
6 Chicken Breasts - Cooked and Sliced
2 Cans Cream of Chicken Soup
4 Cups shredded Mozzerela
2/3 cup of Milk
6-9 Lasagna Noodles - Cooked and Drained
1/2 cup of Butter
1 package Chicken Stuffing Mix
1 tsp of Salt
1 tsp of Onion Powder

In a small bowl combine the cottage cheese,
cream cheese and mozzerella
In a large bowl combine the chicken,
cream of chicken, milk, onion powder and salt

Spread 1/2 the chicken mixture into a greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish.
Top with lasagna noodles.
Then spread on 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture.
Repeat Layers.

Toss stuffing mix with butter, sprinkle over casserole.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 mins
or until golden brown.
Let stand for 10 mins before cutting. About 8 Servings.

We loved it and its going in my book for future dinners. I love to cook and I wish I had more time to make alot of the recipes I see. Also I wish I had more room in my kitchen! Eventually I will have a cookbook compiled of our family favorites to pass on to my kids when they leave the nest.... Happy Night to All! Feel free to swing by our house anytime!

Easter Fun

Good Morning to All. I am the only one awake in my family right now due to the fact that i am used to getting up at 4:45am every morning! Luckily I slept in till 6:30am today. Lucky me!

We had a great easter! That saturday we cut down that pine tree and another offending tree with the help from an awesome guy named troy! He works with us at alpine and along with his
many talents being a professional lumber jack is one of them!

Then Kendall gets it in his head that he wants to try it! I swear if my kids dont give me gray hairs he's going to!

So thankfully He didnt get hurt and both them ugly trees are gone! (well kinda) Then we went up to my mom's for easter and spent a great time with my grandmas, Jake and his Family, and my parents. Ashlee showed up with David and we got to see them for a while.

The week has been busy for both of us at work and has flown by for us. We demolished two of the ugliest sheds you have ever seen last night and am working on the addtl clean up etc. So i will post pics of those later another day.

Waz Up?

Yes I know that I have a weird pic for my Blog but I thought it was funny.
The new slide show is of our little indoor garden we started about 4 weeks too early! We probably cant plant it for about 4 more weeks when all chance of frost is gone but oh well. Its way fun to watch it grow. We have corn and peas also but we are waiting to plant them outside.
We have cut down a bunch of old ugly trees in our yard to make room for the kids to play and also for 2 Bing cherry trees we are planting. We have planted one already and just need to cut down some more trees and tear down some old outside buildings before planting the 2nd one. We also found a old style freezer buried in the ground and used to house a compost pile. Needless to say we hauled that sucker out. How can burying a fridge that will rust in the ground be good for the soil? Kendall had fun doing that with his truck. We have been doing our best to get our yard cleaned up and kid safe for this summer. The old owners left massive piles of old wood and trash around the yard that is just a haven for spiders and wasps and rusted nails. We plan on getting it out before the bugs get in. I cut sariah's hair into a bob because now she is growing it out. Go figure! Jazz gets her cast off in 1 WEEK!!!! YES! Kendall got a job at Alpine with me and so far things are going well! So hi to anyone that still reads my blog after my absence of over a month....

Seriously how time flies when I am busy! A few things have happened in this last month...

1. I became the office manager of Alpine. Talk about overwhelming and all the drama that comes with it

2. Jazz broke her leg jumping off the back of a chair we have. She landed just right to snap her bone in half just below the knee. Fun day let me tell ya.

3. We traded in the blazer and got 2 trucks in return. No I don't have a pic of mine yet. Remember #1? Yeah I am too busy.

4. We cut down 3 trees in our yard and the tall pine tree pictured above is next.... YEEE HAW!

5. Kendall got a job...Oh no wait he hasnt yet. LOL!

So far everyone is fine in the family. Kids getting good grades and being their normal annoying selves. I am exhausted cuz my work schedule has changed and now I work 7-4 every day but I still love my job and I know that its for the best. Kendall is looking dilegently for a job and is now considering signing up for the army reserve to get some schooling to help his resume. Summer is just over the horizon and so is my garden!

Sorry I have been such a slacker. I will try to be better....okay well no promises! I have trees to haul away, a garden to plant, a office to run and a family to manage. So see ya next week or next month or.....whenever but know this your in my prayers! Love to all!

Snowing

Okay so its february and the snow is still coming down! My kids are loving it and so does jazz! She comes in from playing looking like a little snow ball. Things are good. We had tim and kendalls birthday these last two weeks. Tim on the 6th and Kendall on the 14th! Yes he is a valentines baby. So we had some good dinners and fun times. Tim is now 11! He is getting so big. Kendall has finally reached the big 29....whoopie doo! I will be 30 in June so whatever! LOL. My present to kendall is that I am taking him to the jazz game on Saturday. They are playing the New Orleans Hornets and we are actually going to stay over and spend the morning in SLC! HOLY COW! Its going to be fun. So thats it for now....Happy Snow Days To All!

Kendall doesn't have a job still, We are down to one car, Babies had sinus infections but are now better, My work is slow so that makes for long days, winter is staying and wont go away, my puppy is struggling on potty training, Our water heater bit the dust so we had to buy a new specialized one cuz we bought an old old house so it cost us double, tim and sariah are getting all A's in school, Mylee and Maddie are becoming great dancers, Kayden is really feeling his terrible twos and has ruined a dozen eggs by throwing them on the kitchen floor when kendall ever tries to go to the bathroom, Cabin fever is setting in, We watched Ghosttown and it was hilarious, still trying to find time to watch Saving Grace, and just trying to enjoy life and have faith it will all work out! Sorry we have not been updating much...not feeling it right now! LOL

So I think I need a vacation...Like a ten year vacation. Completely by myself vacation.

3 sick, green runny nose, coughing children with horrible attitudes and who keep sleeping at the wrong time. 2 older kids who seem to be so hyper I am searching my house for a candy stash, a husband with no job but being mr mom and calling me wanting me to train him over the phone, down to one car and insurance not paying $1300 of the car that was totaled, rotted flooring in my bathroom, work asking me who I think that they should lay off even though I am not the office manager, being so stressed out that my left eye twitches and I cant see out of it....

10 year vacation for sure.....now where did I put those winning lottery numbers......?

Wow I cant believe that I have survived christmas and the new year! Sometimes things got a little crazy and I wondered if I would live to see tomorrow! I must say that I am very proud of myself this last year for officially doing our family letter and mailing them out on time! I hope that everyone had a great holiday. We spent alot of time with family, and being spoiled with all our christmas surprises! Amber and her family came up and we had so much fun playing cards and dancing to ambers soundtrack to Mama Mia! The babies were so funny to watch. They love to dance. It has been snowing tons here and people tend to forget that snow is not rain and to slow down! There was a thirty one car pile up just south of brigham city that kendall was actually involved in. He was on his way down to go check out one of the dogs that we were looking at buying and the road turned to black ice and things went crazy. Luckily for him he only bumped another vehicle and they had pulled off the road. Unluckily another car came spinning down the highway and hit our car, then hit another car and then hit our car again! Kendall had been standing outside talking to the driver he bumped and watched our car get totaled from the sidelines!!! We were blessed he was not hurt. The insurance still has not called us in regards to what is happening with our car and that is a pain in the butt for sure. We have a very small ugly lil red rental car that is worthless in the snow that we putt around in sometimes....only when we are feeling very brave and invincible! Or when there is no snow on the road! So that is our update on the new year for us! Just trying to stay warm and not fall on our butts in the snow! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

JAZZ

She is a Minature Schnauzer - Pure Black. Right now weighs about 4 lbs and has yet to make a sound. She is very sweet and seems to have warmed up to everyone. We are all absoultely in love. So far so good! Even the grandparents are staking claim on her! Its hilarious. So Cloe watch out you have competition now!

Candy Episode...

So I just need to start off saying that No - this candy is not being delivered to anyone but I could not resist posting about our first attempt at making hard candy without my mom. We are big kids we can handle right? I think the pictures say it all!!! It was the spatula that I was using to scrap out the corn syrup and when I went to put in the cinammon oil that is what kendall grabbed to mix it all together....at 310 degrees..... Mom laughed so hard! I will never live this down! LOL!

So tonight I asked my mom to come over and take a simple cute family picture for my christmas cards, not realizing that I just signed up for 5 mins of a session in HELL! My mom gets a huge kick out of this but seriously....it was like you went to the zoo and the monkeys got out! I had a twin running here and another under the table and kayden kept shooting everyone and then zooming off laughing. Tim was whining and Sariah ignored us all till she had to sit by her brother and then oh no she was touching him! Oh my gosh how horrible is that? Seriously I was praying that god would take pity on me and just strike me down and I would be put out of my misery. Obviously god doesnt like me at all cuz here I am typing this post.... Definetly feeling the love...LOL. So all in all we got 1 halfway decent picture out of 50.... Maybe he does love me :)

We went up to moms last night and make hard candy to give out to those that we love and cherish! It would have been more fun I think if we actually all could have made the candy but with the babies terrorizing the tree and papa's tv the only real fun I got was hiding behind the couch and bean bag bombing my mom and tim!! Wow I have not written for so long! I am sorry to those small few that read my blog! :) Our computer has had a virus for the last three weeks and we have been trying to get rid of it and finally were able to yesterday! So I will be posting pictures and events soon. We are doing well. We went the weds before thanksgiving and cut down our tree. A traditional event that I have kept alive for my kids. I remember doing it with my parents and how much fun it is and once I had my own family kept that tradition. We had a great time and didnt freeze! My sister tells me that its a tall charlie brown tree but we highly disagree! It was great to have amber and her cute family up for thanksgiving. It was fun and stressful and tiring all at the same time. ALOT OF GRANDKIDS in the house! Currently we are planning our christmas treats for friends and neighbors, christmas shopping and trying to remember the true meaning of christmas. Love to all! MERRY CHRISTMAS and all that JAZZ!

I must admit its totally my fault. I have been reorganizing my house this last week and trying to do it using existing furniture (not that easy!!!) So I have been repurposing a china hutch and food pantry and shelving units to make all the junk I didnt know I had (but am not allowed to get rid of ) fit into our small old adorable home! I now know why I have been such an onery bugger for the past couple months. I cant stand my house in chaos not knowing where anything is and it looking soooooo not in place! I am starting to be able to breathe though. You can actually walk into our computer room now and see the computer, find the movie or game you want, pull open a file cabinet and feed the fish! Okay I still fed the fish it was just hard to do! So we have moved all the boxes that we have not gone through into the babies room, they have a offset area that we stuck them in and thats my next project. I might have to do it without kendall. He won't let me DI anything! I figure if you havent used it in the last 6 months you aint going to use it. PERIOD! LOL. Yeah we dont see eye to eye on that!

So anyways our last little while has been great beside me going pure crazy on my house. We cried and threw a fit over the election (WE VOTED AND ARE ALLOWED TO COMPLAIN!)
Did the halloween thing without Tim and Sis (WAY WEIRD!) Threw a birthday party for my mom and Erin on sunday and went on a date Saturday. We did the dinner and movie thing cuz with the weather there was not much else to do. We tried out a resturant called BLACKSTONE and I really loved the main meal but leading up to it sucked. Ugh. I will skip that part next time! Okay I will in all reality just go to OLIVE GARDEN NEXT TIME! LOL Then we went to the really cheap theatre cuz they were the only ones with any decent movie playing. We saw DARK KNIGHT. So (me PMSING) thought it was so sad and horrible and how could anyone aka the joker do those kind of things waaah waaaah etc etc.... Kendall just plain old loved it! He couldnt figure me out (neither could I for that matter! ;0) LOL But all in all a great time to spend together and just laugh and be stupid. (thanks mom!) As for dinner on Sunday it was such a blast to have my parents and jake and his cute family there. I laughed alot and loved just watching everyone be together and be so happy. We played the Wii and ate hamburgers and brauts. I attempted a Candy Road Brownie...attempted being the main word there. I am so not good at brownies or cookies but I make a killer pie! All in all I love life and my family and all the curve balls thrown at us will never be able to take all these memories away! AMEN.

As November rolls in with a gust of wind along seems to come many trials for our family to endure. We are so thankful for each other, our friends, our faith and our church. I have not had much time to post and I apologize. We have been busy just being a family and juggling everything. We had a great halloween and the kids got too much candy! The time change started and is kickin our butts plus the cold weather is almost more than my flip flops can bare!
We have a lot of family get togethers planned this month and I am so glad that I get to be a part of planning it and making it all happen. I will post more later hopefully!

Caitlin - Update

She went in for surgery at 6pm yesterday. They were able to get all of the tumor out and have a tube in to drain the fluid. The doctor said that unfortunently the tumor looked cancerous. We will know on monday. So far she is recovering fine. She has had blessings and we will continue to pray for her. Thanks for all your prays and concern. We are so thankful for our awesome freinds and family support.

So I really doubt that my family is in the condition to update right now.
Caitlin is jakes little girl and she had an MRI today and they found a massive tumor in her brain that is pushing on some vital areas and that is why she has been having so many problems. Well jake and erin had to call primary childrens and they said that she has to go down there now and get the fluid drained out of her brain and the pressure relieved so that they can operate on the tumor which they want to do today. We are unsure what kind of tumor it is at this point. So they are all headed down there right now. PLEASE PRAY FOR MY NIECE AND MY BROTHER AND SISTER IN LAW!!!! I will keep everyone updated. Thanks.

Crash and Burn....

So as I have mentioned in previous posts I was in charge of the party at My work. Well it was friday and I spent the entire day decorating and arranging and vocally motivating the boys to be helpful (aka yelling) Goodness it was exhausting and frustrating all at the same time! It felt like I had given birth after it was all done! Everyone started showing up looking fabulous in their costumes and we got everyones pictures taken and everyone fed...Well the stupid part of this whole thing is that Me and Kelszi (we managed the whole party!) and didnt delegate anything. So we were running around like chickens trying to get everyone fed, music playing, guessing tables acknowledged and answers counted up! We played a Halloween ballon battle game that I think went super well, Then a Newlywed game where we began the crash and burn.....The couples we picked didnt play up the game well and half the time didnt even write down an answer! UGH!!! So we did that finally got it all wrapped up and cuz we were trying to finish that count guessing game answers and figure out the karoke thing the party unraveled. We never got a chance to annouce what kind of prizes that people had the option to win and no one wanted to karoke! UGH!! UGH!!! UGH!!! I feel like I should just stick to decorating and never ever ever volunteer to entertain people! So I cried all night to kendall about how horrible everything was and he has now decided to stick me in a institution for delusional people...cuz he thinks it was the best party he had ever been too...

K sorry Tara it took me so long to get to this...I am obsessed with decorating right now plus I am planning Alpines Halloween Party which is this Friday so yeah...just a tiny bit busy! LOL.
1. I have to have the house completely spotless before going to bed or I dont sleep well.
2. From the time I was 4 till I was 8 yrs old I would have reaccuring dreams that i still remember in detial to this day.
3. I secretly want to be a man somedays...I hate PMS, Mood swings, and Boobs. LOL!
4. I can pick things up with my toes like a monkey...came in really handy with the twins.
5. I notice that when I pose for pictures i always tilt my head to the side
6. I get cravings that last for months. Like I want potatoes and gravy for 2 months. Nothing else will sound good. Right now the craving is Subway.
7. I am a pack rat when it comes to craft stuff...I hold on to anything that might remotely become a decoration!

Halloween Decorating!

So let me tell you a little bit about putting up the decorations. Sharee is a freak. Once she gets something in her head it has to be done like yesterday.

Please ignore kendall...He is just tired and doesnt know what he is saying....so anyways back to me! LOL Let me know what you guys all think. I made the ghost out of an empty 3 liter Shasta bottle, $1 Plastic white Tablecloth and a wire hanger with some manly electrical tape! As for the pumpkins - some stumps painted orange with a smaller stump on top and then add your own flare and Viola! Cute pumpkin Decorations! Enjoy!

P.S. Tim added the Mooning Man - He still has not stopped laughing!

Hello to all. We had an okay weekend. I love the rain but the rain turned my little ones into DEMON children! They wanted one thing and one thing only...and that was to be outside! Ugh. So sunday the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and they rushed to enjoy it....Of course they rushed straight to the biggest mud pubble I have ever seen and hence forth become mud children in less than a milisecond! LOL. I wish I had pictures. Then poor little maddie fell face first into it and that ended the romp in the mud puddle! Tim and Sariah had spent the weekend with their dad in Cokeville WY killing antelope, becoming horribly smelly children and creating great memories with their dad. Its nice to have them back home. I miss them lots when they are gone. We began decorating for halloween and IT IS SO MUCH FUN!!! I love to decorate and I finally have a house of my own to go hog wild on! YEAH ME! I stole my all my moms halloween decorations and am going to town! I will post pics as soon as I am done for you guys to rate! LOL. Wish me LUCK!

Circus

What a wonderful day we had on Saturday. We took the three older kids to the Ringling Bros Circus in Salt Lake and had a blast. Kendalls parents also came with us to view the entertainment! It was so much fun! We ate lunch at one of my favorite places SUBWAY then headed down to SLC. Kayden slept the whole 2 hrs there and we had a fun chat with his parents while Tim and Sis were lost in a Nintendo DS world. When we go to the Delta Center and got into the stadium we were able to go down on the stage and see all the performers up close and personal. We also got to watch one of the elephants paint a picture that later they held a drawing for. The lights went down and we were hurled into the wonderful world of the circus. We had great seats and alot of action when on right in front of us. My favorite parts were the Head Clown, the Elephants and The 7 Motorcycles in the Metal Ball. Tim says "the Clown was the best part! He blew bubbles and when they popped they made fart sounds!!" Kendall says "It was too Broadway but....the 7 Motorcycles in the Steel Ball was AWESOME!" Kayden loved the elephants he came alive the most when they were on stage. Sariah says " My favorite part was the Air Flippers aka the Trapeze Artists! They did lots of flips and I want to learn how to do it!" Afterwards as we were waiting on pizza sariah attempted to try some of the stunts on a metal bar outside. It was great. She has the makings of a future AIR FLIPPER! All in all a great memory with our family!
